Networking Reception for Social Services Providers

This event is for social services providers and partners serving Thurston County residents in these areas: housing, food access, economic development, and health. This event will feature updates about local organizing efforts from each TABC hub and opportunities for networking.

June 11th

Economic Empowerment Retreat and Resource Fair

Join us for a day of workshops, wellness activities, community building, and a resource fair. This portion of the retreat is for low- to moderate-income Thurston County residents. Our goal is for every participant to walk away with more money (or savings) than when they arrived.

Sponsor or Donate

Sponsorships and donations sustain Thurston Asset Building Coalition. Most of this event is currently grant funded and we are not requesting event specific sponsorships at this time. However, you can become an annual sponsor or make donations any time to support future programs like this.

All Hands In

Teach a Workshop

We are seeking workshops and activities for this event that address issues most relevant to those experiencing financial hardship or instability. We encourage applicants to be creative and find ways to incorporate the use of the unique retreat center space. See some example workshop topics to the right.

All workshop presenters will be provided a $100 stipend per 1-hour session.

Financial Education

Budgeting, improving credit score, managing debt, income support, etc.

Healthy Food Access

Info on CSAs, affordable food prep and preservation, food resources, etc.

Housing

Renters rights, pathways to home ownership, accessing affordable housing, etc.

Health/wellness

Wellness activities, healthcare support, health equity/advocacy, etc.

Resource Fair

Join us at Kitchen Shelter 3 at Millersylvania State Park on June 11th, 4:30pm - 7:30pm for a community resource fair. This event is free and open to the public. There will be vendors, food, and fun activities for all ages.  Get info and tools to support your financial stability. The first 25 people who request one will receive a free day pass to attend this resource fair.
